2011 Spring Clean Up

Hello everyone. It is that time of year again. We are going to have dumpsters at Willowbrook Ct on May 13-15 The dumpsters are for free to residents only. So if you tell your friends remind them it is $20 per person per load. We will need volunteers to sit by the dumpsters so please remember that. There is a list of what is acceptable and what is no on the flyer that we are handing out.

Spring garage sale.

We will be having our annual spring garage sale on April 29th. So grab what you can and be prepared for a great weekend of selling stuff. You know what they say. One persons trash is another ones treasure. Flyers will be handed out closer to the date. Any questions ask.

Fall Cleanup

Willowbrook Picnic

Hello everyone. We are going to have a Willowbrook picnic. It will be at Baumgardner Shelter on August 29. We will be handing out flyers before the event. If you have any questions please feel free to email or call one of our Board Members. We hope to see everyone there.

Garage Sale

Hurry up and get everything ready for the garage sale this weekend. We will be having our annual Willowbrook garage sale. June 5th and 6th. Have your stuff out and priced to sell. We will be posting it in the paper and have many signs out for advertisement. Tell everyone you know. Thank you in advance for participating.

Annual HOA meeting

Hello everyone-

We just wanted to remind everyone about our annual HOA meeting. It will be held at Blue Springs High School Media Room Thursday, January 14, 7:00p.m. There will be a guest speaker. Our very own Member and State Representative, Gary Duesenberg. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the local Blue Springs pantry.

Red Fox in the neighborhood

Hi everybody -
I just spotted a red fox running right down the middle of Willowbrook, coming from somewhere around 18th Street (at least) and heading back to the wooded area behind the h.s. track. It was a beautiful creature!! It may never step a paw into our neighborhood again but, then again, it just might.

I started wondering whether it might be dangerous to pets. So--did some checking online and it sounds like anyone with cats should at least be made aware that there was a fox actually in the neighborhood. If you know anyone else with a cat who is not included in the email addresses above, you might want to let them know. This same article mentioned a possibility of a fox having rabies but this one looked really healthy.

Trash Cleanup

The trash cleanup day was another success. We would like to thank everyone who helped out and was involved in the planning.

Welcome

We have some new members to our board we would like to welcome. Mechelle Parker, Judy Nance, and Judy Owens. They are all new directors to the board. Naima is still our president and we have a new VP, Sandra Goble. So let me say good luck to all those in their new position.

Spring Clean Up

One week after the garage sale we will have our spring clean up. It will be three days. The 15th, 16th, and 17th. We will need volunteers to help watch the dumpsters and collect money from none members. Make sure and follow the instructions on what you can and cannot put into each dumpster.

Garage Sale

Hello everyone. We will be having our garage sale on Saturday, May 9th. We will be handing out flyers very soon.

Trash Cans

Please keep your trash cans no more than 5 feet from the garage door(s). Please do not put them at the end of the driveway. Thank you for your cooperation on this.

City Ordinance

Cars are not to be parked on the lawns. Only concrete or gravel. So please move your car if it is parked on the lawn.

Food, Door Prizes, and a Kids Craft Corner

Hello everyone. We are having our annual HOA Meeting on February 19 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. It will be held at the Blue Springs Media Room. We will have Food, Door Prizes and a Kids Craft Corner. We have had some recent break ins and would like your input and support in order to make our neighborhood a better place to live. Please bring a canned food item. Donations will be given to help needy families in Blue Springs. We are looking foward to the fellowship and input that you have for all of us. See you at the meeting.

Reminder

I just wanted to thank everyone that volunteered for dumpster duty. We really appreciate the help and support. It was a total success. What a weekend for cleanup. We couldn't have asked for a better Sunday day. Maybe a Chiefs win but I digress. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to fill out the surveys and take them to the drop box. The drop box location I have written in an earlier post. We are counting on these to get returned and are hoping it we get full participation in this. Once again thank you.

Fall Clean Up

Hello everyone

We are going to have our Fall cleanup the weekend of the 14th and 15th. We will be getting 2 dumpsters. We do need everyone to comply with what CAN and CANNOT go in the dumpsters. It will only cost us more if we don't comply. Once again if you have friends and family that would like to use our dumpsters. We need to collect money from them. We will be getting flyers out to you. Inclosed will be a survey. If you would be so kind as to fill out the survey and return to the drop box. The drop box is located at our treasurers house. See post below. Once again thank you so much.
